Shipping policy
Shipping Policy
Last updated: 17 August 2026
I take care to package your order securely and to dispatch it within the processing timeframe stated for the product or service you have purchased.
Please read this policy carefully before placing an order, particularly the distinction between processing/dispatch times and delivery times.
1. Processing and dispatch
Processing time is the time I need to prepare, create, package and dispatch your order.
For standard physical products, including prints, orders are generally dispatched within 1–2 business days, unless a different processing time is specifically stated in the individual product listing.
The processing time for commissioned artwork is different because each commission is individually created.
The applicable commission processing timeframe will always be stated in the relevant commission listing and in the shipping/processing option selected at checkout.
Please allow the full stated processing timeframe before considering an order overdue for dispatch.
2. Commission processing options
Where available, commissioned artwork may be offered with different processing options, such as Standard, Priority and Premium.
These options are not simply different postage services. They represent different levels of priority in my workload and the amount of time I specifically allocate to your commission.
By selecting a Priority or Premium option, you are paying for me to prioritise your commission within my schedule and allocate dedicated time to creating, communicating about and completing your artwork within the advertised processing timeframe for that option.
The applicable timeframe will be clearly stated in the commission listing and/or the selectable processing option at checkout.
The higher price associated with Priority or Premium processing reflects the additional scheduling priority and the need for me to allocate time specifically to complete your commission within the selected timeframe.
What Priority and Premium do not include
Priority and Premium processing relate only to the time required for me to process and complete your commission.
They do not purchase or guarantee:
-
faster postal delivery;
-
a guaranteed delivery date;
-
a particular delivery time;
-
faster processing by Royal Mail, Evri, DPD or another carrier;
-
protection against postal delays; or
-
any other outcome that depends on a third-party delivery service.
Once your commission has been completed and dispatched, the delivery portion of the process is handled by the relevant postal or courier service.
I cannot guarantee when a parcel will arrive.
3. Dispatch is not delivery
Please keep in mind that dispatch and delivery are two separate stages.
Dispatch is when I have completed your order, packaged it and handed it to the postal or courier service.
Delivery is the subsequent journey from the carrier's network to your delivery address.
I control the processing and dispatch of your order. I do not control the postal or courier network once your parcel has been handed over.
For this reason, a processing or dispatch timeframe should not be interpreted as a guaranteed delivery date.
Likewise, paying for a service with a faster delivery aim does not mean that I can personally guarantee that your parcel will arrive within that aim.
4. Delivery estimates
Delivery times shown on the website or provided by a postal/courier service are estimates or service aims unless the service is specifically described as guaranteed.
For example, Royal Mail 1st Class currently aims to deliver the next working day, including Saturdays. This is a delivery aim rather than a guarantee.
A parcel taking longer than the carrier's stated aim does not necessarily mean that it has been lost.
Postal networks can experience delays, missed scans, backlogs, weather disruption, operational issues and other circumstances outside my control.
Please therefore allow the relevant delivery window and any reasonable postal delay before assuming that an order has been lost.
5. Tracking information
Where tracking or delivery confirmation is provided, tracking information is supplied by the postal or courier service.
I do not control how frequently a carrier scans an item or how quickly tracking information is updated.
It is therefore possible for tracking to remain unchanged for a period of time even while the parcel is continuing through the delivery network.
A lack of a new tracking update does not, by itself, establish that a parcel has been lost.
6. Delayed or missing parcels
If your order has not arrived within a reasonable period after the carrier's stated delivery aim, please contact me so that I can investigate the matter.
Where appropriate, I may need to wait until the relevant postal service's eligibility period for a loss investigation or compensation claim has passed before a formal claim can be submitted.
This is determined by the particular service used and the carrier's current terms and claims procedures.
For example, Royal Mail's current retail compensation policy provides different qualifying periods depending on the service used. For 1st Class items, the current loss-claim period begins after the due date plus 10 working days.
If a carrier requires a specified period to pass before a lost-item claim can be opened, I may need to wait for that period to expire before the matter can be formally progressed with the carrier.
I appreciate that waiting for a carrier's investigation period can be frustrating, but these are procedures imposed by the delivery service and are not timeframes that I can shorten myself.
I will keep you informed as appropriate and will take the appropriate steps once the carrier's claims process becomes available.
Nothing in this section limits any statutory rights you may have as a consumer.
7. Confirmed lost parcels
If a parcel is confirmed as lost, or the circumstances otherwise require a remedy under applicable consumer law, I will resolve the matter in accordance with the applicable law and the relevant circumstances.
Depending on the circumstances and availability of the item, this may involve a replacement or refund.
Where a replacement is appropriate and available, I may offer a replacement in accordance with my Return & Refund Policy.
8. Damaged parcels
If your order arrives damaged, please contact me as soon as possible and follow the procedure set out in my Return & Refund Policy.
Please retain the original packaging and any relevant shipping information until the matter has been resolved.
Do not discard or alter the damaged item or its packaging before contacting me, as this may be needed when investigating the issue or making a claim with the carrier.
9. Incorrect or incomplete delivery addresses
Please check your delivery address carefully before completing your order.
I am not responsible for delays, failed delivery or additional postage costs resulting from an incorrect or incomplete address supplied by the customer.
If an order is returned to me because the address provided was incorrect, incomplete or otherwise undeliverable, I will contact you to discuss the available options.
Additional postage may be required to resend the order where the original delivery failure resulted from incorrect information supplied by the customer, subject to applicable consumer law.
10. Missed deliveries and collection points
If a carrier attempts delivery and leaves a collection notice or makes the parcel available for collection, the customer is responsible for taking reasonable steps to receive or collect the parcel within the carrier's specified timeframe.
Failure to collect a parcel may result in it being returned to me.
If a parcel is returned because it was not collected or because the customer otherwise failed to take reasonable steps to receive it, I will contact you to arrange the next appropriate step.
Additional postage may apply to a second delivery where the original delivery attempt was unsuccessful for reasons attributable to the customer, subject to applicable consumer law.
11. International orders
International delivery times vary considerably depending on the destination, postal service, customs procedures and other factors.
International delivery estimates are therefore not guaranteed.
Customers receiving orders outside the UK are responsible for complying with any applicable import requirements and, where applicable, paying customs duties, import taxes, handling charges or other fees imposed by the destination country.
I cannot control customs processing times or charges imposed by foreign authorities.
12. Postal and courier services
I may use different postal or courier services depending on the destination, size, value and nature of the order.
The available service and any applicable delivery information will be shown at checkout or in the relevant product listing.
I may use services including Royal Mail, Evri, DPD or other suitable delivery providers.
The carrier's own service terms, delivery aims, tracking systems and claims procedures apply to the delivery service used.
13. Delivery dates and deadlines
I cannot guarantee that an order will arrive by a particular calendar date unless a specific guaranteed delivery service has expressly been purchased and the guarantee is provided by the carrier itself.
If you require an item for a particular event, birthday, anniversary, holiday or other fixed date, please take both the advertised processing time and a reasonable delivery period into account when ordering.
For commissions, selecting Priority or Premium processing can reduce the time required for me to create and complete the artwork, but it does not guarantee that the finished artwork will physically arrive by your chosen date.
If a specific delivery date is essential, please contact me before placing the order so that I can advise whether the requested timeframe is realistically achievable.
14. Orders placed while I am temporarily away
From time to time, I may temporarily close or alter my normal dispatch schedule due to holidays, studio closures, events or other circumstances.
Where this affects current orders or future purchases, the relevant information will be displayed on the website or communicated to affected customers where appropriate.
Any temporary processing period stated at the time of purchase will take precedence over the standard processing timeframe.
15. Responsibility for delivery
I am responsible for processing your order correctly and dispatching it in accordance with the applicable processing timeframe.
However, I cannot control the postal or courier network once your order has been handed to the carrier, including its routing, scanning, sorting, transportation or delivery schedule.
I therefore cannot be held responsible for a carrier failing to meet its estimated delivery aim or for delays caused by circumstances outside my reasonable control.
However, nothing in this policy is intended to exclude or restrict any mandatory consumer rights or legal responsibilities that apply to me as the seller.
16. Contacting me about your delivery
If you have a question about your order, please contact me with your order number and, where available, your tracking number.
Before contacting me about a delayed parcel, please check:
-
the processing timeframe stated for your order;
-
the date on which your order was dispatched;
-
the carrier's estimated delivery timeframe; and
-
the latest available tracking information.
If the relevant delivery period has passed and the parcel still has not arrived, please contact me and I will investigate the matter with you.
I appreciate your patience while postal investigations and carrier claims are completed. These processes can take time because they depend on the procedures of the delivery service involved.
17. Important distinction between processing and delivery
For clarity:
Processing timeframe = the time I allocate to preparing or creating your order.
Dispatch = the point at which I hand your completed order to the delivery service.
Delivery timeframe = the carrier's estimated time to transport the order to you.
Priority/Premium commission processing = additional payment for me to prioritise and complete your artwork within the advertised processing timeframe.
None of these constitute a guarantee of a particular delivery date unless a carrier expressly provides a guaranteed delivery service.
By placing an order, you acknowledge that delivery after dispatch is dependent on the relevant postal or courier service and is outside my direct control.
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory consumer rights.
