This add-on is for customers who would like a detailed or complex background incorporated into their custom character commission.

Whether you envision a fantasy landscape, atmospheric setting, interior, architectural environment or a scene filled with storytelling details, a developed background can add considerably more depth and context to your artwork.

🎨 What's Included?

This add-on can be used for backgrounds such as:

  • Landscapes and outdoor environments
  • Rooms and interiors
  • Fantasy settings
  • Architecture
  • Detailed scenery
  • Themed environments
  • Storytelling elements and props
  • Other complex settings discussed and agreed in advance

The exact level of detail will depend on the size and composition of your artwork.

Simple backgrounds are already included

You do not need this add-on for a simple background such as:

  • a colour wash;
  • gradient;
  • soft texture;
  • atmospheric effect; or
  • other minimal background treatment.

These are included as part of the standard character commission.

📐 Artwork Size

The price of this add-on varies according to the size of the commissioned artwork, as larger pieces allow for considerably more detail and require additional painting time.

It is currently available for commissions from A4 to A0.

Complex backgrounds are not currently available for A5 commissions, as the smaller format does not provide enough space for intricate environmental detail to be shown effectively.

You must purchase this add-on alongside the relevant custom commission.
