🎨 About the Artwork

Every portrait is individually drawn and painted by me using artist-quality watercolours on premium watercolour paper.

I focus on capturing the personality of your pet rather than simply reproducing a photograph. Details such as their expression, eyes, markings and characteristic features are carefully considered throughout the painting process.

The result is a one-of-a-kind original artwork, created specifically for you.

If you would like several pets together, a particular arrangement, or a more complex composition, please make sure you select the appropriate option or contact me before ordering.

I'm also happy to discuss unusual or more personal ideas where possible.

📷 Choosing Your Reference Photographs

The quality of your reference photographs can make a significant difference to the finished portrait.

For the best result, please provide:

• Clear, high-resolution photographs
• Good natural or even lighting
• Photos where your pet's face and important features are clearly visible
• Several photographs where possible, if you would like me to understand their appearance from different angles

Don't worry if you aren't sure which photograph is best. You can provide several and I can help determine which references will work most effectively for the painting.

If there are particular features you'd like me to capture, please mention them when submitting your commission information.

✨ How Your Commission Works

1. Choose Your Commission

Select the appropriate portrait size and options at checkout.

Before ordering, please read the commission description carefully to make sure you've selected the option that matches what you'd like me to create.

If you're unsure, contact me before purchasing.

2. Submit Your References

You'll provide your photographs and commission details using the information requested after placing your order.

Please take your time when submitting your references, as they form an important part of the creative brief.

3. Artwork Development

I'll begin developing your portrait based on the agreed brief and reference material.

Where your selected commission option includes an approval stage, you'll receive the relevant preview before I proceed with the final artwork.

4. Hand-Painted Watercolour

Once the concept has been approved where applicable, I'll create your final portrait by hand using traditional watercolour techniques.

Your artwork will be individually painted rather than digitally generated or mass-produced.

5. Completion & Tracked Delivery

Once your painting is complete, it will be carefully packaged and sent using tracked delivery.

All commissioned artwork is sent with tracking because each original painting is unique and cannot simply be replaced.

Your processing timeframe depends on the commission option selected at checkout.

Please note that commission processing time refers to the creation and completion of the artwork. It is not a guaranteed delivery date.

It is not a digital download and does not include a digital file or print.

Unless otherwise stated, the artwork is supplied unframed. Any frame shown in photographs is for display inspiration only and is not included.

Purchasing the painting gives you ownership of the physical original artwork only. Copyright and reproduction rights remain with me.
