Every commission is individually created rather than digitally generated or mass-produced.

In this specific listing, I work from the reference photographs and information you provide, translating your subject into a carefully painted watercolour illustration while retaining the character, expression and details that make them recognisable.

Your finished artwork will be a physical, original painting created specifically for you.

This listing includes:

• One character or person
• A collarbone-up portrait, unless a different composition is specifically included in the option you select
• Realistic or semi-realistic styling
• A simple background
• Traditional hand-painted watercolour artwork
• The original physical painting delivered to you

For more complex compositions, full-body artwork, multiple subjects, scenery or elaborate backgrounds, please select the appropriate commission option or contact me before ordering.

📐 Available Sizes

Commission sizes vary depending on the option selected.

Available options range from A5 to A1, with larger or alternative sizes available by arrangement.

🎨 Backgrounds

Portrait commissions are generally created with a simple background, such as a plain colour, gradient or subtle texture.

If you would like a more elaborate environment, scenery or complex background, please see the Backgrounds & Scenery add-on or choose a commission option that includes this.

🖌️ How Your Commission Works

1. Place Your Order

Select the size, commission option and any available upgrades that best match what you'd like me to create.

Please read the listing details and commission terms carefully before purchasing.

2. Send Your References & Details

When ordering, you'll provide your reference photographs and any relevant information about your commission.

Your references are important, so please make sure they are clear and suitable for the artwork you are requesting.

3. Sketch & Development

I will develop your artwork based on the agreed brief and references.

Where the selected commission option includes a sketch approval stage, you will receive the relevant preview for approval before I proceed with the final painting.

Please note that the number of revisions included is determined by the commission option purchased.

4. The Painting

Once the concept has been approved where applicable, I will create the final artwork by hand using traditional watercolour techniques.

The production timeframe depends on the commission processing option selected at checkout.

5. Completion & Dispatch

Once your artwork is complete and any included approval stage has been completed, your original painting will be carefully packaged and sent using tracked delivery.

I offer different processing options so you can choose the timeframe that best suits your needs.

The available options and their respective processing timeframes are shown at checkout.

Priority and Premium options carry an additional charge because they require me to allocate dedicated time within my working schedule to complete your commission within the advertised processing timeframe.

Please note that these timeframes relate to the creation and completion of your artwork only. They are not delivery times.

Once your artwork has been dispatched, delivery is handled by the postal carrier and I cannot guarantee a specific delivery date.

📦 Tracked Delivery

All commissions are sent using tracked delivery.

Because an original commissioned painting is a unique, irreplaceable piece of artwork, I do not offer an untracked shipping option for commissions.

Your tracking information will be provided once the artwork has been dispatched.

Please ensure that your delivery address is correct when placing your order.

💛 A Few Important Things Before Ordering

A commission is a collaborative process, so please take care when selecting your references and providing your instructions.

Once work has begun, changes to the agreed concept may not always be possible.

The number of revisions included with your commission is specified in the relevant commission option. Additional revisions or substantial changes outside the agreed brief may incur an additional charge where they are possible.

If you request a change that I have specifically advised against because of artistic or technical limitations, I will explain the potential consequences before proceeding.
