Bespoke fantasy, anime-inspired & original character artwork — hand-painted in watercolour.

Bring your character to life as an original, hand-painted watercolour artwork created specifically for you.

Whether you're commissioning an original character, a favourite fictional character, a fantasy hero or a fan-created interpretation, each piece is individually painted by NeeseDraws using traditional watercolour techniques.

My work combines fine-art painting with expressive character illustration, creating artwork that retains the personality and visual appeal of character art while giving it the depth, texture and individuality of a traditional painting.

🎨 Choose Your Composition

Your commission can be created in a range of compositions:

Headshot
The face, head and upper shoulders.

Bust
Head, shoulders and upper chest.

Waist-Up
The character shown from the head to approximately the waist.

Full Body
The complete character from head to toe.

If you're unsure which composition would work best for your idea, I'm happy to advise you.

📐 Available Sizes

Choose from:

• A4 — 21 × 29.7 cm
• A3 — 29.7 × 42 cm
• A2 — 42 × 59.4 cm
• A1 — 59.4 × 84.1 cm

Larger artwork provides more room for intricate details and can make a particularly striking statement piece.

✨ What Can I Paint?

Original Characters

Have a character you've created yourself?

I'd love to paint them.

You can provide character references, sketches, descriptions, mood boards or other visual information to help me understand your design.

Fantasy & Character Art

I can create artwork inspired by fantasy worlds, games, animation, manga, mythology and other fictional themes.

Fan-Created Artwork

I also accept commissions featuring existing fictional characters as fan-created artwork, subject to the applicable limitations and policies.

The resulting artwork is my own artistic interpretation and is not an official product of, or affiliated with, the relevant rights holder.

🖌️ Backgrounds & Additional Elements

The standard commission includes a simple background, such as:

• colour washes;
• gradients;
• soft textures;
• atmospheric effects; or
• other uncomplicated background elements appropriate to the composition.

More elaborate backgrounds and additional elements may require additional time and cost.

Examples include:

• detailed environments;
• architecture;
• complex scenery;
• multiple additional characters;
• elaborate props;
• weapons or intricate objects;
• highly detailed settings.

If your concept requires substantial additional work, please discuss it with me before ordering so I can confirm what is possible and provide the appropriate quotation.

💛 The Commission Process

1. Tell Me About Your Idea

Before ordering, please provide the information required for your commission.

This may include:

• character references;
• descriptions;
• preferred composition;
• pose;
• expression;
• clothing;
• colour palette;
• background ideas;
• and any other important details.

The clearer your brief and reference material, the easier it is for me to create an artwork that matches your vision.

2. Your Commission Is Scheduled

Once your order and brief have been received, your commission is added to my production schedule according to the processing option you selected.

3. Sketch & Development

I'll develop the composition and character from your approved brief.

Where your selected commission option includes revisions, you'll have the stated opportunity to request changes before the painting progresses beyond the relevant stage.

4. Painting

Once the composition has been approved, I'll begin the finished watercolour artwork.

This is where the character is developed through traditional painting techniques, colour, texture and detail.

5. Completion & Dispatch

Once your artwork is complete, it will be carefully packaged and prepared for dispatch.

All commission artwork is sent using tracked delivery.

You'll receive tracking information once your artwork has been dispatched.

⏱️ Commission Processing Options

I offer different processing options for customers who require different levels of priority.

The available options and their respective processing timeframes are displayed with the commission selection.

The additional cost for priority options reflects the fact that I am reserving production time specifically for your commission and prioritising it within my workload.

These processing times cover the creation and completion of your artwork, including the necessary communication and approval stages.

They do not constitute a guaranteed delivery date.

Once your artwork has been dispatched, delivery is handled by the postal service and is outside my control.

📦 Original Physical Artwork

This commission is for an original physical watercolour painting.

You will receive the original artwork on the size and paper specified in your order.

Digital files or prints are not included unless specifically stated in your commission option.

© Copyright & Usage

The artwork you receive is an original piece created specifically for you.

Purchasing a commission does not automatically transfer copyright or commercial rights in the artwork.

Personal-use commissions may not be reproduced, resold, commercially exploited or otherwise used outside the agreed purpose without prior permission.

If you require artwork for:

• merchandise;
• publishing;
• advertising;
• commercial branding;
• commercial reproduction;
• products for resale;
• or another professional/commercial purpose,

please contact me before ordering so that appropriate licensing or commercial-use terms can be discussed.

For Fan-Created Artwork

Where a commission features an existing fictional character or intellectual property, the artwork is an unofficial fan-created interpretation.

I do not claim ownership of the underlying character, franchise or other intellectual property belonging to its respective rights holder.

The original artistic expression, interpretation and physical artwork created by NeeseDraws remain subject to my own rights.
